New Testament, Book of Mormon, and Modern Prophets: Salvation is never merited or earned. It is only granted because of the grace of Jesus Christ. Some believe that "grace" means "unconditional." Others believe that "grace" means "undeserved", but is still conditional. The condition most often referenced is faith in Jesus Christ, and faith actions such as repentance, baptism, and loving Jesus Christ.
