Yes. The New Testament speaks of the Holy Ghost as the Comforter. Disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Ghost.
Modern Prophets states,

"when we inculcate into our lives scriptural imperatives and live the gospel, we are blessed with the Spirit and taste of His goodness with feelings of joy, happiness, and especially peace"; and also, "that there is nothing which can bring more joy into our lives or more peace to our souls than the Spirit which can come to us as we follow the Savior and keep the commandments.”
The Book of Mormon states,
"And Nephi and Lehi were in the midst of them; yea, they were encircled about; yea, they were as if in the midst of a flaming fire, yet it did harm them not, neither did it take hold upon the walls of the prison; and they were filled with that joy which is unspeakable and full of glory. And behold, the Holy Spirit of God did come down from heaven, and did enter into their hearts, and they were filled as if with fire, and they could speak forth marvelous words."
Multiple passages assure us that keeping the commandments leads to joy and happiness, while repentance enables to repent along the way when we make mistakes.

Torah, Book of Mormon, New Testament, and Modern Prophets: God is our loving Father, our eternal "Daddy." He loves us and wants our happiness. All commandments are given that we might be happier. They describe decisions and a way of life that brings peace and joy. The Book of Mormon describes a people who

"lived after the manner of happiness" and states that "man is, that he might have joy."
Men and women make mistakes and sin, however. This immediately or eventually leads to unhappiness. Through Jesus Christ and His suffering, repentance is possible. Repentance brings relief and peace to the suffering heart. This is the peace promised by Jesus Christ in the New Testament,
"[p]eace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

New Testament, Book of Mormon, and Modern Prophets: Salvation is never merited or earned. It is only granted because of the grace of Jesus Christ.

Some believe that "grace" means "unconditional." Others believe that "grace" means "undeserved", but is still conditional. The condition most often referenced is faith in Jesus Christ, and faith actions such as repentance, baptism, and loving Jesus Christ.
